Brass

Pinning

I have been a mad woman pinning lately.  Usally when I see something I like on Pinterest, I "like" it and do not actualy "pin" it to any of my boards.  I accumulated over 1700 "likes"!!! WHAT!  I have started to pin them on my boards and it's actually been quite fun but I am quickly realizing that I will NEVER do all these lovely things and ideas....it could be a waste of precious time.  So, in an effort to not let all this hard work go in vain, I am going to try at least 5 of my pins a month....will keep you updated!

Beginnings

Well actually it began a few years before our wedding but this is a great place to start.  We were married last year on a beautiful day in October at our friends farm.  I went with a vintage country feel based on the venue and ran with it.  Scouting for the antique decor was so much fun and gave me a renewed interest in styling.  I also wanted to incorporate my husband's Dutch roots....appetizers at the cocktail hour were all his favorite treats from Holland but of course we had a Bluegrass band playing in the background...great Southern/Dutch combo!  I am also blessed to have the most amazing talented friends and family that helped me pull it all together. Starting with our Save the Dates designed by one of my besties Loren.

Super cute right?  They really helped give a feeling of what was to come on the wedding day.  And here's how it all came together.....

I can't believe it's been a wee over a year...feels like just yesterday really!  

I have to give a proper shout out to my friend Krystal and her mad skills with a camera! Her photos make me smile everyday!  Also, a big thanks to our friends Chris and Lisa for letting us invade their beautiful home and property.....it was the perfect setting for our day!
